French Provincial Louis XV Style Square Coffee Table Off-White Cabriole Legs
$50.00 · Item #699
38"Square x 16"H A large square coffee table in the French Provincial manner, with the soft curves and carving that suit a cottage, shabby chic or traditional living room. It is a good candidate for refinishing or repainting, as the frame and carving are sound-looking and the form is what buyers seek. The top has a serpentine, scalloped outline with a molded edge. Below it is a shaped apron with a carved floral cartouche at the centre. It stands on four cabriole legs with acanthus-carved knees and scroll feet. The painted antique-white finish has a darker glaze worked into the carving. Condition: The top is heavily marked, with scratches, gray and black scuffs, red paint transfer and small gouges across the surface. It will need refinishing or painting to look its best. There are chips and worn paint along the top edges and corners, exposing bare wood, plus scuffs on the legs and feet. Joint tightness and stability have not been checked.
