This floor-standing wooden console radio is manufactured by Stromberg-Carlson, likely representing Model 935-M from circa 1941 to 1942. The cabinet displays a dark brown wood finish with figured veneer, carved moulding along the top rim, canted front corners with strapwork marquetry, and bracket feet. Two upper cabinet doors with metal drop pulls open to expose the control panel above a lower speaker grille featuring three pointed Gothic-style tracery arches over diamond-patterned acoustic fabric. The dial face includes shortwave (6–18 MC), pre-war frequency modulation (42–50 MC), and standard broadcast bands, set above a row of twelve marbled push buttons marked with station call letters such as WIBW, WLW, and WFAA. Rotary knobs adjust treble, bass, station tuning, frequency range, and power or volume, accompanied by colored range indicator dots. Visible surface wear includes scuffing and finish loss along the wooden ledge beneath the push buttons and minor edge nicks at the base. The 42–50 MHz FM band represents Edwin Armstrong's original wideband FM spectrum authorized prior to the FCC's reallocation to 88–108 MHz in 1945.
